Chorister Notes

Everything the choir asks in rehearsal, answered before they ask.

A sheet is one screen. The leader writes it on the way to practice. The choir opens the link on their phones. The sound team prints it for the stand. Nobody writes the key on their hand again.

  1. The factsKey, tempo, time, who leads, who wrote it. Tap the key and it moves up a half step. Tap the tempo and it counts; press play and it clicks.
  2. The sections, in orderIntro, verse, chorus, bridge, vamp, tag. How many times each goes round, with a half when the band cuts early.
  3. Who sings whatAll, lead, sopranos, altos, tenors, basses, ladies, men, call and response. One tap each.
  4. The notesWhere to breathe, who ad-libs, when the band drops out, the key change. The things said in rehearsal that nobody writes down.

How it works

Press New song, give it a title, and tap the key, the tempo and the time until they are right. Each row is a section: tap the name, how many times it goes round, and which parts sing it. The notes under each row are for the things you say in rehearsal and nobody writes down: where to breathe, who ad-libs, where the band drops out.
