The story
I started in Accra, running a studio and directing music for churches and a live band. Somewhere in there I became the person artists called when a vocal was almost right and nobody could say why. The work grew from there into gospel highlife, worship records, close-harmony trios, and live albums cut in one take with no second chance.
These days I direct music at a multicultural congregation in Virginia and run its broadcast mix myself, while finishing a master's in Commercial Music Performance at Liberty University.
The software came out of frustration. Rehearsals kept going to parts people could have learned at home, and backing tracks were turning live bands into playback operators. So I wrote HarmonieMD for the first problem and PerformLive for the second. I like thinking about a voice at the fader and at the buffer, even if that's an odd pair of places to live.
