This covers amanorsac.studio, every app and plug-in Amanorsac Studio sells or gives away, and Amanorsac Hub. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Amanorsac Studio is a one-person studio run by Stephen Amanor Sackey in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States. It records and mixes music, and it builds the audio software listed in its App Store. For the purposes of data protection law, Amanorsac Studio is the controller of the personal data described here.
Everything on this page is a statement of what the software and the website actually do. Where a section says something is not collected, that means the code does not collect it.
Four things, and each is here for a reason you can point at
An email address and a password you choose. The password is never stored as you typed it: our database provider stores a hash of it and nothing can turn that back into the password. An account exists so that a licence key you paid for can be found again on a computer you have not bought it from — which is the whole point of having one.
Why we may hold this: to perform the contract you entered into when you bought or claimed a product.
What you bought, when, the amount paid, and the licence key issued to you. We never see your card. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and are held by Stripe; what comes back to us is a confirmation that a payment succeeded and an identifier for it.
Why we may hold this: to perform the contract, and to meet tax and accounting obligations.
When a licensed plug-in is activated we store a random identifier generated on that computer, a name for the machine so you can tell your machines apart in My Apps, and when it last checked in. That identifier is generated by the software; it is not a hardware serial number, not a MAC address, and not tied to anything else about your computer. Deactivating the machine removes it.
Why we may hold this: to perform the contract — a licence that covers two computers at a time has to be able to count them.
The website keeps its own, first-party record of traffic. For each visit it stores: which page, the hostname of the site that linked you here (never the full address, which can carry someone's search terms or a private link), any campaign tags in the address, whether you are on a phone, tablet or desktop, which browser and operating system family, the window width, how long the page took to load, how long you stayed and how far down you read, and a handful of named events such as "an enquiry was sent".
Two random identifiers make that possible: one that lives in the tab and disappears when the tab closes, and one kept in your browser's local storage so a returning visitor can be told apart from a new one. Neither is a cookie, neither is shared with anyone, and neither is joined to your account.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, none of this runs at all. No identifier is created and nothing is recorded.
Why we may hold this: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the website works, balanced by holding no more than the list above.
Emails you write, reviews you submit, and messages sent through a form on this site. A review you post is shown publicly with the name you give it, and you can ask for it to be taken down.
Because this is the question an app store reviewer usually wants answered, here it is directly.
On activation the software sends the licence key you typed and the random machine identifier described in 2.3, over an encrypted connection, and receives a signed confirmation back. That is the entire conversation. It happens when you activate, when you deactivate, and periodically to confirm the licence is still valid. No other data leaves the plug-in.
Some products — AFD Gate is one — carry no licensing of any kind. They never contact a server, they work with no network connection, and they collect nothing whatsoever. Where a product page says "no activation, ever", that is what it means.
The Hub signs in with your account so it can show what you own, download it and install it. It sends your account's token to ask "may this person download this file", and stores your sign-in locally so you are not asked every time. It does not scan your disk, index your projects or report what you have installed beyond what is needed to offer you updates.
Nothing collected by Amanorsac Studio is used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Running any of this alone is not possible, so four companies are used, each for one job and nothing else. Each is bound by its contract with us to protect your data at least as well as this policy promises, to use it only to provide the service we are paying for, and never for its own purposes.

No advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. What is stored in your browser is the sign-in your account needs to stay signed in, the two random identifiers described in 2.4, and small conveniences such as which tab you last had open. Fonts are served from this site rather than from a font network, so nothing about your visit is shared with anyone in order to draw text on the page.
Articles on the blog carry advertising from Google AdSense. Google sets its own cookies and may use them to show you advertising, and what it does with them is governed by Google's own policy, not by ours. You can turn personalised advertising off at Google's My Ad Center. No advertising appears anywhere near your account, the App Store, checkout, or any product page, and nothing about your account is shared with Google.
You can ask for a copy of everything held about you, ask for anything wrong to be corrected, ask for it to be exported, ask us to stop using it, or ask for all of it to be deleted. Write to hello@amanorsac.studio from the address on the account and a person — not a form — will answer. There is no charge and you do not have to give a reason.
Email hello@amanorsac.studio with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm it is you, tell you plainly what you are about to lose, and on your say-so delete the account, the licence keys on it and the devices activated against them, normally within 30 days and usually within a few days.
You can remove an individual computer yourself at any time, without deleting anything else, from My Apps.
The rights above are yours by law, and this section only tells you where to send the request. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a right. If you believe we have got something wrong, you are entitled to complain to your data protection authority — though we would rather you told us first, so we can fix it.
These are professional audio tools. They are not directed at children, and accounts are not knowingly created for anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to hello@amanorsac.studio and it will be deleted.
Amanorsac Studio is in the United States and the services listed in section 5 store data in the United States and, in Cloudflare's case, on servers around the world so that a download is fast wherever you are. If you are outside the United States, using this site or these products means your data is transferred there. Where the law requires a legal mechanism for that transfer, our providers' standard contractual clauses are the mechanism relied on.
Everything travels over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored hashed. Licence confirmations are signed with a private key that exists only inside the server that signs them and appears in no file, no page and no copy of the software. Access to the database is limited to what each part of the system needs — the key published in the website's own code can write a page view and read a published review, and can read nothing about anybody's account.
No system is perfect, and anyone who claims otherwise is selling something. If a breach affects you we will tell you what happened, what it means for you and what we are doing about it, without waiting to be asked.
When this changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change actually affects what is collected or who it goes to, we will say so on this page and email account holders rather than leaving it to be discovered.
