About

Short version

I started in Accra, running a studio and directing music for churches and a live band. Somewhere in there I became the person artists called when a vocal was almost right and nobody could say why. That turned into a catalogue: gospel highlife, worship records, close-harmony trios, live albums cut in one take with no second chance.

I now direct music at a multicultural congregation in Virginia, where I own the broadcast chain end to end, and I'm finishing a master's in Commercial Music Performance at Liberty University.

The software came out of frustration. Rehearsals were being spent teaching parts that people could have learned at home, so I wrote HarmonieMD. Backing tracks were flattening live bands into playback operators, so I built PerformLive. I'm comfortable thinking about a voice at the fader and at the buffer, which is a stranger combination than it should be.
